Access for Central Texans
Access for Central Texans Program is a program of Catholic Charities that provides community outreach and assistance regarding state benefits thanks to a grant from The Texas Health & Human Service Commission. Outreach staff can provide the community a wide array of assistance, ranging from general information about state services to one-on-one assistance in preparing and submitting application materials for state benefits, including:
- Medicaid
- Food Stamps
- CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program)
- TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)
- Long-Term Care Services
Training and support is also available to community organizations who assist individuals in their community. Training is provided on the above mentioned federal benefits programs, requirements, and application process.
Intake Procedure
Walk-ins welcome on the listed dates. All other days and times are by appointment only. Please contact the Catholic Charities outreach worker that is assigned to your county.
